About Me
Hi there! I’m Wissam (Sam) Chidiak, a speech and language therapist with over 25 years of experience helping children find their voices and thrive.
I began my journey back in 2000, practicing in Beirut for two decades before returning to Nigeria, the country where I was born and now proudly call home.
Being trilingual, I love connecting with families from diverse backgrounds and offer therapy sessions in English, French, and Arabic.
Today, I’m based in Lagos, where I collaborate closely with the community at the American International School of Lagos (AISL), Lycée Français Louis Pasteur de Lagos (LFLP), and Pink and Blue Nursery.
I also welcome families into my private practice located at 1004 Estate, just across the street from AISL.
If you peek into one of my sessions, you’ll see that play is at the heart of everything I do. I truly believe children learn best when they are fully engaged, laughing, and simply being kids. By creating a warm, joyful environment, therapy feels less like work and more like an adventure they look forward to.
To ensure every child receives the highest standard of care, my background in Autism Spectrum Disorder is backed by certifications as an ADOS-2® Practitioner from University College London (UCL) and a More Than Words® Trainer from The Hanen Centre®, alongside clinical experience administering the Bayley-4 for early developmental assessments.
Helping little ones unlock their potential while having a wonderful time is what gets me out of bed with a smile every day, even on Monday mornings!

“About Sam, Lilly and the gang”
In addition to speech and language therapy, I have a passion for creating educational games and incorporating my own fun visuals into them.
I’ve created a whole cast of characters, including Sam, Lilly, Ela, Chidi, Nay, and Jadu, and feature them in multiple decks on Boom Learning and Teachers Pay Teachers.
I also conduct game creation workshops where I teach others how to create educational games using PowerPoint for therapy.
My goal is to help speech therapists and educators create fun and engaging materials for their work with children, and to spread the joy of learning through games.
